Baby boy of Kabita and Deepak Kumar entered this world too soon. Born prematurely, he has not yet had the chance to feel the warmth and safety every newborn deserves. Instead of resting in his mother’s arms, he is fighting for his tiny life inside the NICU.
Because he was born preterm, his fragile lungs are not fully developed, and he is suffering from Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS). Every breath he takes is a struggle. On top of this, he is battling severe metabolic acidosis, a dangerous condition that is affecting his delicate body and putting immense stress on his vital organs. He is surrounded by machines, tubes, and monitors — each one helping him survive another precious moment.
For Deepak Kumar and his family, this should have been a time of joy and celebration. Instead, it has become a time of fear, sleepless nights, and overwhelming medical expenses. The cost of intensive care, ventilator support, medicines, and continuous monitoring is far beyond what the family can manage alone.
